On 11/21/2009 at
approximately 1:25 a.m. Officer Mike Dempsey of the Pinehurst Police
Department responded to 4001 Sparrow Street in regards to a subject
attempting to gain entry into the residence. The suspect, 32
year-old James Ardoin, a white male, was located and detained by
Orange Police Officer Davis, Captain Robert Enmon, and West Orange
Police Officer Dennis Hankins shortly after leaving the residence.
Ardoin was subsequently placed under arrest by Officer Dempsey for
attempted Burglary, a 3rd degree felony. If convicted,
Ardoin faces up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
On 11/21/09 about 11:17 a.m.
Officer Kavin Blakeney responded to the rear parking lot of a
restaurant located in the 200 block of Strickland Drive in Pinehurst
in reference to criminal mischief to a vehicle.
The owner of the vehicle
reported that unknown person(s) damaged the vehicle by puncturing
all four tires and breaking out the driver side window. Damage is
estimated at about $700.00.
On 11/22/09 about 1:27 p.m,
Officer Kavin Blakeney was dispatched to a hair salon located in the
1500 block of Strickland Drive in reference to an attempted
burglary. Unknown persons attempted to force open the rear door to
the business but were unsuccessful.
On 11-25-09 at about 1:36
p.m. Officer Brian Foley was dispatched to Whataburger located at
2300 MacArthur in Pinehurst in reference to a theft. The store
manager reported that a store employee was caught on video taking
money out of the cash register.
On 11/27/09 about 1:56 a.m.
Officer Blakeney was dispatched to 69 Harding in Pinehurst in
reference to a disturbance. Chelsea Kindle, a 21 year-old black
female, who had previously been warned to stay away from the
residence, was arrested for Criminal Trespass. If convicted she
faces up to 1 year in jail and a $4000 fine.
On 11/27/2009 at 3:20 p.m.
Officer Dempsey responded to the 3500 block of W. Martin in
reference to a burglary. Complainant advised that unknown person(s)
entered his residence through an unlocked window and removed TV, a
Sony Play Station 3 Game systems with several games, a shotgun,
tattoo equipment.
On Saturday, 11/28/09, about
5:59 PM, Officer Leonard Roff of the Pinehurst Police Department
conducted a traffic in the 1900 block of Strickland Drive. Roff
detected the strong odor of burning Marihuana. The driver,
Christopher Jair Pitre, a 30 year-old black male, was found to be in
possession of a green leafy substance believed to be Marihuana. He
was subsequently placed under arrest for Possession of Marihuana, a
Class B. Misdemeanor and transported to the Orange County Jail for
booking. If convicted, Pitre faces up to 180 days in jail and a
$2000.00 fine.
