PRESS RELEASE
10/15/2009 through 10/23/2009
On 10-16-09
Officer Foley was dispatched to an apartment complex located in the
3300 block of W. Park Orange, Texas 77630 in reference to a burglary
of a motor vehicle. The complainant reported that unknown person(s)
entered his vehicle and removed a GPS navigation system and a music
player.
On Saturday,
10-17-2009 a theft of an air conditioning unit was reported to the
Pinehurst Police Department. The theft occurred in the 1600 block
of Shady lane. The unit is valued at $1000.00
On 10/16/09
I Officer Blakeney responded to the 1900 block of Camelot Drive in
Pinehurst in reference to burglary of a motor vehicle. A stereo was
removed from a vehicle at that location.
On Monday,
October 19, 2009 Officer Leonard Roff of the Pinehurst Police
Department responded to the 2200 block of MacArthur Drive in
reference to Theft. The complainant reported that unknown person(s)
removed a 15hp boat motor, a weed trimmer, leaf blower, fishing
pole, ice chest, portable cooker, 4 bicycles, and other assorted
items valued at over $1400.
On October
19, 2009, Officer Roff responded to the Orange Parole Office,
located at 851 Dal Sasso, in reference to warrant service. A 20
year old white male identified as Elliot John Slaten was placed
under arrest for an outstanding parole warrant and transported to
the Orange County Jail.
On 10/19/09
Officer Blakeney of the Pinehurst Police Department received a
report of a burglary of a vehicle that occurred in the parking lot
of a retail store located in the 200 block of Strickland Drive.
Unknown person(s) entered an unlocked vehicle and removed a ladies
purse.
On 10-20-09
at about 6:45pm Officers from the Pinehurst, West Orange and City of
Orange Police Departments as well as the Orange County Sheriff’s
Department responded to a residence in the 2700 block of 35th
Street in Pinehurst in reference to serving a felony warrant.
Lavar Dupree Menifee, B/M, 32 years of age was located and arrested
for an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Controlled Substance
On
Wednesday, October 21, 2009, Officer Leonard Roff of the Pinehurst
Police Department, observed a black 2007 Honda Civic traveling
southbound in the 1600 block of Strickland Drive. Upon observing a
traffic infraction and checking the registration it was learned the
vehicle had been reported stolen out of Houston, Texas. Officer
Roff conducted a traffic stop and subsequently placed the driver, 32
year old Mario Alejandro, of El Salvador, under arrest. A hold was
placed on Alejandro by the Immigrations and Customs Enforcement
Agency.
On 10-22-09
Officer Brian Foley conducted a traffic stop in the 3600 block of
East Martin in Pinehurst. Colbye Jermaine Jenkins, a 23 year old
black male was subsequently arrested for 2 outstanding Pinehurst
Municipal Court warrants.
